Yesterday while in Jamaica, we went to visit the home and gravesite of Bob Marley. He has been Nathen’s number one favorite artist since he was a teenager, opening up a deep love of reggae in him that has influenced his life and bass playing ten fold. As a musician, it was a spiritual experience to say the least. The rock in the 4th photo was his meditation rock, where he’d sit or lay to think about the world and write his music.

Bob was truly a man of the people, believing no matter who you are or where you’re from, we all share the same red blood. Seeing his childhood home (which he eventually expanded to house his family) and final resting place was beautiful, especially for Nathen. If you ever have the chance, I’d recommend anyone seeing it for themselves.

His mausoleum itself is not pictured. Out of respect, they do not allow photos or videos of it, but we will always be grateful to be allowed to see and touch it and feel his power.

For the low cost of one post like, this bass player will be given the chance to wear what he wants on stage (which would probably be this). I’m a mean ass front woman and keep these boys uniform. Help him out so he can be his true self during our show at The Roxy on March 27th.

And we’re off! Year 8 of the Flogging Molly Salty Dog Cruise. Couldn’t be more grateful for this experience and all of the people who make it happen. It’s a wild ride.
